TICKLED PINK

   The center panel is a hand painted batik from Turtle Hand Batiks.  I used my technique of "Thread Painted Faux Trapunto" to enhance the design.  Then hand dyed fabrics to match and paper pieced a border around it. 

    Double batting was used to help enhance the motifs.  Freehand quilted using some ruler work techniques.

    This piece was featured as the backdrop while filming Episode 2604 of Quilting Arts TV.  Also featured in the Spring 2021 issue of Quilting Arts magazine in my article on the technique.
